Course objectives
A survey of Minoan and Mycenaean art, of Bronze Age Troy and of the Cycladic cultures, with an introduction dealing with Greek Neolithic; supplemented by a survey of relations of the Aegean Bronze Age art and other monumentswuth the civilisations of the Mediterranean,the Near East and Europe.
Syllabus
  • Archaeology of Greek Neolithic cultures, of Helladic and Cycladic arts, of Minoan and Mycenaean cultures, A survey of Aegean art and archotecture, its relations to the Near Eastern and European cultures of the Bronze Age and its relation to later Greek art of the Early Iron Age.
