Course objectives
The purpose of the course is to present the structure of the Egyptian hieroglyphic script and to introduce in the Egyptian grammar.
Syllabus
  • 1. History of deshipherment of the hieroglyphic script. 2. So called ‘hieroglyphic’ alphabet. 3. Biradical signs. 4. Triradical signs. 5. Gender and number of the substantives. 6. Pronouns. 7. Numerals. 8. Verbs. 9. Basic syntactic rules.
