Course objectives
In this course we will deal with the selected works of popular literature; works written between two world wars will be stressed. The works reffered as popular will be compared with high literature in order to determine its specific features. In this course students will work with hardly accessible magazines and anthologies. They will also deal with the literature on subject.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to broaden students knowledge in works of popular literature;
to learn the history of basic developement tendencies in popular literature;
to specify major differences between popular and highbrow literature;
to learn how to deal with with primary sources of popular literature
to learn how to deal with the literature on subject

Assessment methods
Used educational methods: lectures, discussion in sessions, interpretation of texts, reading.
Assessment: essay, active participation in seminars and 3 absences at most.
