Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows: to explain the continuity and tendencies of Western philosophical tradition; the basics of Eastern philosophy will be briefly considered as well. Students will orientate themselves in basic philosophical notions and problems and they will be able to explain European cultural tradition and history of ideas in the context of philosophical thought.

  • The subject of philosophy, elementary philosophical notions, the topics of main philosophical disciplines, the most significant thinkers in the history of European philosophy
