- Course objectives
- Language exercises are focused on the vocabulary building, improvement of verbal skills and colloquial potential. The last mentioned should develop the notion about Russian facts such as music, fine art, architecture. The furthermore attention is devoted to problematic of synonymic verbs in light of the translation: verbs and their combinatory possibilities; the selection of the most appropriate equivalent when translating. The next students’ progress is expected. They especially should be trained in communicative self presenting in Russian language managing with the barriers due to Czech-Russian interferences in grammatical and lexical spheres. Exercises comprise the knowledge from Russian facts; reading; interpretation and translation of Russian Art and special texts.
- Syllabus
- 1. Phonetic exercises (Intonational constructions IK-1, IK-2); verbal aspects of prefixed verb “rabotat’”, Czech-Russian interferences during the process of translation.
- 2. Phonetic exercises (Intonational constructions IK-3); verbal aspects of prefixed verb “smotret’” (stylistic differences), Czech-Russian interferences during the process of translation.
- 3. Phonetic exercises (Intonational constructions IK-4, IK-5); lexical-semantic exercises focused on explanatory semantization. Verb „stat‘“.
- 4. Phonetic exercises (revision of intonational constructions).
- 5. Verb „stupit‘“. Construction typical for colloquial Russian.
- 6. Verb „chitat‘“. Czech-Russian phraseology.
- 7. Verb „lit‘“. Lexical base for the topic “You and your character.”
- 8. Theme: „Color and dressing“; Compliments, idioms and proverbs referring to the given topic.
- 9. Theme: „Nature doesn’t know bad weather“; Climate, seasons of the year.
- 10. Semantic training in interlingual homonymy (Czech-Russian interferences when translating).
- 11. Lexical base for the topic: “Everybody’s nice in his/her own fashion (in his/her own way)”.
- 12. Revision of prefixed verbs having learned.
