Course objectives

Focus on major Belgian authors.

Syllabus

• Belgian poetry and humour (Nougé, Michaux, Ghelderode) 1) Specific features 2) Methods of analysis 3) Analyses of extracts: authors of the times and various forms (song, comics ...). 4) Student presentations. Acquiring recordings.

Assessment methods

Colloquium – analysis of assigned literary excerpt.
