- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to define basic terminology of traditional folk architecture and rural settlement. Students should be able to identify the stages of the evolution of settlement and house in history from rudimental forms (underground houses) to forms influenced by style architecture.

- Evolution of human dwellings from rudimental forms.

- Development of house layout, interior, housing.
