Course objectives
At the end of the Normative Grammar of Italian (Part II), the student should:
- be able to understand - in detail on the synchronical level, and at least partly on the diachronical level – all the (mainly) morphological problems related to pronouns, numerals and verbs
- be able to apply this knowledge to the practical use of the Italian language
- be in a position to apply this knowledge to the theoretical description of Italian as well.
Syllabus
  • The theoretical part of the course in Normative Grammar of Italian (Part II) focuses above all on a detailed description of pronouns, numerals and verbs:
  • - classification, description and use of pronouns and pronominal adjectives
  • - classification, description and use of numerals
  • - verbs: general characteristics, verb categories, detailed description and use.
