Na konci tohoto kurzu bude student schopen diskutovat základní filosofické problémy, jak je popsal Bertrand Russell ve své knize "Problémy filosofie" (1912), jež nabízí přehledný úvod do filosofického myšlení; zároveň bude schopen na základě nabytých znalostí porozumět kořenům analytické filosofie, jejíž ranou fázi je tudíž bude možné přehledně demonstrovat.
