Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: - make acquainted with a polish love poetry, analyse baroque and renaissance poets, which writed love and erotic poetry.
Syllabus
  • 1. Baroque and renaissance love – customs, intriques, scandals.
  • 2. Old polish love poetry – men's point od view.
  • 3. Love, emotions, marriage – baroque's and renaissance's point of view.
  • 4. Erotic literature age of XVI and XVII.
  • 5. Poetry creation: M. Rej, J. Kochanowski, Ł. Górnicki, M.S. Szaryński, J.A. Morsztyn, Sz. Zimorowic, H. Morsztyn, K. Twardowski, W. Potocki, Jan III Sobieski.
  • 6. Anonymous poetry creation.
  • 7. Old polish erotic language.
