Course objectives
The practical course in Finnish is mainly focused on improvement of vocabulary and conversation abilities, grammar excercises. At the end of the course students should be able to repeat basic parts of all nominal and verbal paradigms and describe them, translate more sofisticated texts, practise an elementary conversation, categorize Finnish words, construct basic syntagmata and clauses and assess their grammatical correctness.

Assessment methods
The final exam consists of two parts: a written test and an oral exam. The written test targets knowledge of grammar, the oral exam is limited to basic topics like sports, health, popular culture etc. Proper use of grammar is the main object of evaluation.
