- Course objectives
- The course will present the important texts of the Old Czech literature from a little bit different point of view. The course will focus also on the questions of the author attribution or the filiation of texts, on the cultural and historical context and the interdisciplinary relations. Thus the position of the literary text as the specific source of understanding of the past times will become apparent.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- interpret the text of the Old literature;
- appreciate the importance of the text to understand larger cultural and historical context;
- understand the methods of author attribution;
- understand questions of the filiation of texts;
- evaluate the relevance of texts in the interdisciplinary relations. - Syllabus
