Course objectives
The discipline introduces students into basics of educational evaluation. It defines main concepts and approches in educational evaluation, and offers insights into its main areas, such as evaluation of educational needs, evaluation of educational programs, evaluation of the teaching process, evaluation of textbooks, evaluation of educational environment, evaluation of educational results, evaluation by means of standards, evaluation of effects of education, evaluation of school effectiveness, evaluation based on indicators, evaluation of educational research. At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain main concepts, methodological approaches and results of attempts in specific ares of educatioanl evaluation.
