Course objectives
Students are able to use genitive sg. and pl., distinguish between countable and uncountable nouns (including genitive case), use adverbs of quantity (including genitive case)and use nominative pl. for masculine animate nouns. In the following they are able to use "kde" and "kam" with adverbs of place and some nouns describing place (include the correct case and preposition). They are also able to use past tense of regular and of some irregular Czech verbs. Last part of the Czech grammar is focused on the compound future tense and verbs of motion.

Teaching methods
Teacher-led instruction (theoretical preparation), homework, supplementary exercises (oral and written), summarization based on a text, corrections of mistakes
Assessment methods
Final written test. Besides the test, the following rules must be observed: 1/ In order to successfully finish the course, student's participation in the course must be at least 75 %. If student's participation drops below 75 %, he will not be allowed to write the final test. 2/ The students fullfils all tasks given by the teacher (homeworks, presentations etc.) Unpreparedness is judged as absence. 3/ Students must not switch study groups, unless the Head of Department of Czech for Foreigners explicitly approved it.
