Course objectives
Introduction to the basic and more advanced French regarding morphology, syntax and lexis, in both written and oral expression, using the most up-to-date educational methods. Working on practical knowledge in order to ensure progress to an intermediate level of French in six semesters.
Syllabus
  • The article and geographical terms. Gender and number in nouns and adjectives. Compound nouns and adjectives, the plural. Future expressions, stylistic uses of the future tense. Passive voice. Subjunctive in main and subordinate clauses. On discussing the individual grammatical phenomena, further practice sessions including lexical and audio-oral exercises are designed to consolidate the knowledge gained in the course.
