Course objectives
The course deals with its subject from two aspects. On one hand it pursues political, ideological and historical connectivities that have influenced narrative structure models of the Slovak films. On the other hand it pursues stylistics techniques and writing styles of the respective authors and their approach to the reality whereas the reality is not understood as things-in-itself but in conjunction with the meanings and sense we add into them.
The course will include dvd screenings.
Course graduates will benefit from substantial survey of the Slovak cinematography contexts.
