Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to gain practical experience in administration, scoring and interpretation of results of selected performance diagnostic methods. Students will become familiar with the use of these methods in practice in individual psychological disciplines, with their limits, the basic psychometric characteristics, manner of administration and evaluation and interpretation of the results with regard to the ethical aspects of the use of psycho-diagnostic tools. Selection methods based on the needs and interests of course participants and their planned future professional orientation. After completing the course, students will be able to work with selected power tests and will be oriented in their administration will also be able to describe the method of interpreting the results of the methods used and understood the process and the final report of the investigation and case report.
Syllabus
  • 1.Teoretický Introduction: Principles of work with diagnostic methods. Basic psychometric characteristics. Ethical Aspects of psychodiagnostics. 2. The practical part: Administration of selected methods within the course (intelligence tests, tests of special abilities and individual mental functions - selection according to the interests of participants of the course). 3. The principles of working with diagnostic methods and administered by the evaluated: through the use of their computer versions. 4. Discussion of lessons learned, case reports and final reports from the investigations.

Teaching methods
Group and individual work of students, discussion of the results obtained.
Assessment methods
It is believed the active participation of students and at least 80% attendance at seminars, completing the course it is necessary first to attend informative seminars throughout the semester to present 1 psycho tool and at the end turn in a case report in the range of 3-5 pages, which will include family, personal and potential professional history and interpretation of the results of all methods administered by one person from the seminar group.
