- The seminar seeks to introduce students into a contemporary Czech literature, especially into books which have been appreciated by critics and readers. All books will be available for borrowing in the course, elearning support (reviewes, profiles of authors and their work, etc.) will be prepared as well. The seminar takes place every two weeks to allow students read selected books. Students will interpret works of contemporary Czech literature under the guidance of experienced teachers from Department of Czech literature and Library studies. This seminar is offered for all students who are interested in a contemporary Czech literature.
After finishing the seminar the students will gain: understand main tendencies in contemporary Czech literatury, interpret literary works regarding the course, describe their poetics and reflect them in a wider literary context. - Syllabus
