Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, students have demonstrated their ability to appraise and evaluate theoretical approaches in their given field of study. They are able to compare and contrast various scholarly approaches. They have a profound knowledge of the discipline including the ability to implement the various skills relating to the specific field of study.
Syllabus
  • Graduates of this degree programme should have written and spoken Macedonian language competence at the high level. Graduates should also have a deep knowledge of literary and cultural theory and literature and culture of the Macedonian nation and neighboring Balkan countries. They should also have a deep knowledge of diachronic and synchronic linguistic theories, including the history of the Macedonian language. They also have good knowledge of specific issues and eras in historical development in Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania and Greece. They should also be able to work independently and conduct critical analyses.
