Course objectives
The topic of the seminar concerns selected Latin texts which consequently served as themes for various kinds of visual art; these texts will be discussed from the following points of view: language, stylistics, and as a piece of visual art. The course is taught in Czech. At the end of the course, students will be capable of discerning and interpreting themes of ancient literature used in visual arts.
