- New Forms of Cinematic Exhibitions. Stanley Kubrick’s exposition and project of the National Centre of Film Culture in Łódź A series of lectures and workshops will be concentrated on the phenomenon of museum exhibitions which are dedicated to famous filmmakers. This trend is gradually more and more popular, therefore prominent film museums arrange monographic exhibitions which are shown in many galleries around the world. The case of the Stanley Kubrick’s exposition is a good first step for the presentation, due to the high popularity of this concept and my experiences as a curator of its Krakow’s version. I intend to show following stages of preparation within that area: negotiations with the objects owners and Kubrick’s family, works with screenplay, development of the visual and architectural project, selection of material and educational programme as well as the collaboration with media and external institutions. Furthermore, I am going to present the extraordinary conception of National Center of Film Culture in Łódź – the central institution of film knowledge promotion. This institute is now in progress and I am the author of its main vision. Therefore, I intend to analyse the various formulas of film museums, education parks and cultural activity events which are possible to include in that institutions.
