The student has an overview of the development and situation in the field of literature in the Netherlands and Flanders in the 20th and 21st century.

Course objectives
The student gets a detaild overview over literary movements in the 70´s and 80´s in the Netherlands and Flanders.
He learns about the political, social and historical context of the period in question.
Syllabus
  • - lectures 1-2: proza in the seventies and eighties in the Netherlands and Flanders- colleges
  • - lectures 3-5: 'taalautonomistic' en neoromantic tendencies in the Dutch written poetry (70´s)
  • - lecture 6: postmodern tendencies in the Dutch poetry (80´s)
