Course objectives
At the end of the course Pschophysiology, students should be able to describe a structure and a function of human body functions in detail - from a cell level, across particular organs to a complex human organism and their relatioship to the psychic processes. Students should be able to give reasons how a phsyiologcal processes can change human’s behavior and vice versa.

  • Molecular genetics. Behavioral genetics.
  • Structural and functional organization of the body. Metabolism. Internal environment (homeostasis). Changes in homeostasis and its relationship to the psychophysiology.
  • Cardiovascular psychophysiology.
  • Psychoimmunology.
  • Respiratory psychophysiology
  • Kidney functions and its relationship to the psychophysiology.
  • Gastrointestinal psychophysiology.
  • Neuroendocrinology.Hormons and the psychophysiology.
  • Reproductive psychophysiology.
  • Skin physiology.Thermoregulation - an importance for psychophysiology.

Lessons are led in the form of lectures.

The student write semestral project on a chosen topic in the field of psychophysiology in the range of about 10 pages.
