Course objectives
This subject concerns syntax of Catalan. The main goal of the subject is to give students a description of catalan syntax, taking into account how the linguistic universal are realized in Catalan. At the end of the course the students should be able to appropriately analyze a wide range of syntactic phenomena in Catalan. The subject will thus try to develop the students' capacity to reflect on the Catalan language, taking into account linguistic variation and the relation of Catalan with other languages.
