Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to obtain the basic knowledge and practical skills in the Italian normative grammar, vocabulary, phraseology and idioms. The course is aimed at the training of the use of basic grammatical issues, the development of the vocabulary and speaking skills in everyday situations. Historical, cultural and social background is also part of the classes.
At the end of the course, students should reach the following level of European reference frame: B1.

Teaching methods

Assessment methods
The student has to deliver 3 essays in Italian and 3 translations during the semester. Attendance and active participation in the course (70% min.). Written and oral examination aimed at testing the language skills.
