Course objectives
Aim of this course is to deepen the current knowledge about literary science, but mainly improve practical (analytical and interpretational) skill of the students, all this by working on examples from fictional literature. Course is based on practical exercises that look at the literary text in different ways, but always from the creative point of view (stylistics, graphics, interpretation, pre-understanding etc.).

Upon absolving this course, students should be able to individually conduct analysis and interpretation of literary texts.

Teaching methods
Both lecture and seminar are focused on application of gained skills such as literary text analysis and its interpretation (in groups and individually). Discussion with colleagues about particular problems of literary theory will be required.
Assessment methods
Students must complete all tasks, present their solutions in the seminar and actively participate in discussions. Credit will be granted based on these requirements. Maximum of 3 absences is allowed.
