- Course objectives
- The course PJA123 Elements of Polish Grammar is a part in the framework of practical language courses - Practical Polish(PJA123, PJA124). The course is founded on explanation of Polish grammatical elements and also on the contrastive comparation of Czech and Polish grammatical systems. It gives basic information of Polish pronunciation, declination, conjugation, word forming, and syntactic structures. The part of teaching are Polish texts and grammatical exercises. The course brings also basic orientation in Polish linguistic terminology. Students achieve after the first part of this course the level B "stopień progowy".

- 1. Nominative and accusative pl. of substantives, modifiers and personal pronouns
- 2. Conjugation of irregular verb powinien
- 3. Use of verbs prosić, musieć, trzeba, warto, powinien
- 4. Future tense of perfective and imperfective verbs
- 5. Dative of personal pronouns
- 6. Forming of adverbs
- 7. System of prepositions and their using
- 8. Comparison of adjectives and adverbs
- 9. Temporal and spatial relations in syntactic constructions
- 10. Conditional mood
- 11. Genitive pl. of substantives and modifiers
