- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to help the students to learn and to understand the Italian contex by means of cultural, historical, geographical adn administrative themes.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will know several aspects and themes of Italian culture and civilization. Using specific lexicon, he will be able to talk about -Italian regions -administration -national hymn and Constitution -Rome and Roman history -some capital historical periods such as, for example, Renaissance, Risorgimento or Fascism -prominent personalities of the past an present from different areas of life such as Art, Architecture or Technology.

- Teaching methods
- Lessons are often divided into two parts: the first one more theoretical aimed to talk about a specific theme and 2) the second one, more practical, aimed to focus on the lexicon of the theme, with activities and exercises. Articles and audio/video materials are used for the lessons. Students have to prepare short presentations and do the homeworks.
- Assessment methods
- Attendance of at least 70% of the course. Final written test which includes a questionnaire on the course contents.
