- Course objectives
- In the end of the course, students will be able to understand the issues of copyright law according to the act No. 121/2000 Sb. as amended and they will gain a basic overview of international treaties and directives of the European union regulationg the given matters.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to: - identify and apply the basic principles of copyright law - describe and apply the impact of international treaties and European Union directives regulating the issue - orientate in related legislation and case law

- notion of intellectual property, copirights and related rights, differences between Continental-Europe and Anglo-American system
- overview of international treaties for protection of copyrights and related rights
- object of copyright law under the Act No. 121/2000 sb.
- features of copyrighted work, what is not a copyrighted work, authors, co-authors
- economic rights, fair use, limitations of economic rights
