- Course objectives
- In a number of lectures students learn about the subject, methods and tendencies of contemporary Dutch linguistics. Questions such as human speech, how we have it or what we can look at and how it can be explored is at the center of interest. The students will also learn about the basics of the individual linguistic disciplines, the current Dutch language policy as well as the printed and electronic sources of scientific information about the Dutch language needed for study. Each lecture is followed by a seminar on which students are looking for solutions to specific tasks assigned to the topic being discussed.
