Course objectives

To write a paper in English and to submit it to a peer reviewed journal.

Learning outcomes

Students will be able to:
- write a academic paper;
- comply with the formal requirements laid down by the editorial board;
- re-work the paper according to the reviewers’ requirements.

• - Typology of reviewed journals
• - Principles of peer review
• - First draft of the paper
• - Feed back from supervisor
• - Second version of manuscript
• - Submission of the paper to the journal editors
• - Acceptance of the remarks of reviewers
• - Final version of the paper

Assessment methods

Evaluation will be based on the accepted paper: 10 credits for a paper published in a Czech peer reviewed journal, 20 credits for a paper published in a foreign peer reviewed journal.
