The course is intended for students with very advanced knowledge, a good knowledge of grammar is assumed. The course is intended for native speakers and students with language mastered at native speaker level.

Course objectives
The course is intended for students of non-professional specializations and is aimed at deepening linguistic and academic knowledge with respect to the student's field of study in the following areas: 1)reading academic and special texts 2) written and oral expression on academic topics 3)listening to authentic academic texts, writing down main ideas, writing resumes The aim of the course is to reach the C2 ERR (European Framework of Reference) level.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to work with various professional texts at the level of an editor, editor, translator, improve in writing academic texts, improve in their theoretical knowledge of russian language (grammar, syntax).
Syllabus
  • 1. Work with texts. 2. Complex cases of Russian grammar and syntax. 3. Stylistics. Texts of different genres. 4. Russian in the academic sphere: presentation, essay, article. 5. Preparation and realization of a meeting with a representative of Russian literature, film, music or science.

Teaching methods
One two-hour workout per week. Regular practical exercises, presentations, discussions, project, written and oral presentations.
Assessment methods
The course ends with an oral examination (presentation on a specified topic + discussion). 1) resume and annotation of the assigned texts, 2) preparation of a project on the assigned topic, 3) preparation of a presentation on the assigned topic, 3) preparation of a text (1 NS) and a video fragment on the topic of Realia, 4) providing feedback on the written and oral assignments (peer evaluation), 5) performance of grammatical and syntactic tasks (dictations, quizzes...), 6) performance of continuous tasks. Active participation in seminars, minimum 70% completion.

The course ends with an oral examination (presentation on a specified topic + discussion). 1) resume and annotation of the assigned texts, 2) preparation of a project on the assigned topic, 3) preparation of a presentation on the assigned topic, 3) preparation of a text (1 NS) and a video fragment on the topic of Realia, 4) providing feedback on the written and oral assignments (peer evaluation), 5) performance of grammatical and syntactic tasks (dictations, quizzes...), 6) performance of continuous tasks. Active participation in seminars, attendance min 70% - - - Students of the combined form of study do not have compulsory attendance, they complete homework and continuous assignments on the basis of consultation. - The exam can only be taken during the exam period.
