- Course objectives
- The seminar aims to present and critically evaluate the key interpretational approaches to text, relating to the main currents of literary scholarship from the 20th century to the present day. The discussion of individual methods shall be focused on a reflection upon their paradigms, as well as an evaluation of their analytical potential in the interpretation of specific texts.
- Learning outcomes
- After the completion of the seminar the students shall be able:
- to understand various interpretational methods and analytical approaches to text;
- to critically evaluate the individual interpretational strategie;
- to apply the aquired theoretical knowledge in the analysis of specific literary texts;
- to reflect upon semantic and pragmatic aspects of literary communication. - Syllabus
