Course objectives
The course will analyse certain areas of the Italian language system from the theoretical perspective of linguistic typology. This implies a systematic comparison with the systems of other languages (including the students' native languages).

Through this work, he/she will develop a sensitivity towards the relativity vs. universality of certain language facts while strengthening his/her metalinguistic skills.
