Course objectives
The course follows the basics of syntax dealt with in the introductory four-semester course of Modern Greek language. The aim of the lecture is to systematically deal with, in both theory and practice, sentence and complex-compound sentence syntax while applying the theory of dependency syntax.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be capable of applying the dealt with syntactic phenomena in active and passive translation of Modern Greek texts and use the acquired skills in translating sentences and non-sentence constructions of subordinate clauses adequate in meaning.
