- Course objectives
- Students will become familiar with the relevant historical, political, social and cultural contexts and, thus, they will be able to understand how it is possible that this small country in the middle of the Pyrenees was not absorbed by one of its powerful neighbors, why the joint head of state is the French president and the bishop of Urgell, what policy Andorra maintains towards Catalonia and why this is the case, how significant a role the Czechs played in the process of obtaining Andorran state sovereignty.
