Course objectives
A survey of Hellenistic terracottas, lamps wheel-turned and moulded, of painted, moulded (relief) and plain and fine potteries, of ex-vota in Hellenistic sanctuaries. Classification of Hellenistic transport amphorae, of glass, bronze figurines and toreutic works, of ex-vota in sanctuaries of various materials. The survey is divided acocnrdingto areas of production. It discusses also the use and function of Hellenistic minor arts, of signatures, workshops, trade relations, etc.

  • 1-2. Provinces of Hellenistic terracotta production. 2. Hellenistic lamps 3. Moulded ceramics. 4 Painted wares. 5. Other fine and kitchen wares. 6. Transport amphorae 7. Bronze figurines. 8. Toreutics and jewellery 10. Glass. 11. Workshops and schools. 12. Trade with minor arts during the Hellenistic period.
