Course objectives
The aim is to acquire competence in a second (non-native) language in which international research in the field is conducted in the form of active participation in an international conference.
Learning outcomes
The student will acquire language competence for their academic and scientific activities by mastering a second, non-native, language of international research (especially German or English, or another according to the specific research focus or dissertation topic) in one of the basic attributes of scientific work: active participation in an international conference (or workshop).
Syllabus
  • In this course, the student will demonstrate their knowledge of specialist terminology in one of the world languages (especially German or English, or another according to the specific research focus or dissertation topic) by presenting a paper at an international conference, followed by a discussion.
Literature
  • Příslušná literatura bude citována v poznámkovém aparátu k tištěnému příspěvku.
  • The relevant literature will be cited in the references to the paper.
Teaching methods
The preparation is conducted in the form of individual consultations with the supervisor.
Assessment methods
Credit is awarded by the supervisor after the student has demonstrated his/her active participation in an international conference (or workshop).
