Course objectives
The course goal is an active conversation and strengthening of language and communication skills. The compulsory course covers at least six semesters of study with intention to reach language proficiency on B1 level in both spoken and written communication. The content and exercises of each semester are related to parallel lectures from phonetics and phonology, lexicology, grammar and syntax. The course Vietnamese conversation 6 is a profile core course of the study programme Vietnamese Studies. At the end of this course a student has to pass standardized examination corresponding to B1 level according to ERF. Content of this course and acquired knowledge will be also a part of the Final State Examination.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- use advanced syntactic patterns and various types of developed sentences
- use related Vietnamese terminology of syntactic patterns and types of sentences
- communicate about following topics: Vietnamese literature and folk tales, friends, gifts, education in Vietnam, labour and carrier, social politics, values of the family and Confucian values

  • Exercises and use of syntactic patterns and developed sentences
  • Conversation and practical use of vocabulary related to following topics: Vietnamese literature and folk tales, friends, gifts, education in Vietnam, labour and carrier, social politics, values of the family and Confucian values

Assessment methods
Written brief tests at the beginning of every lecture - 50 % of correct answers from all brief tests (including tests from missed classes) is needed to pass for final examination. Final examination is standardized examination corresponding to B1 level according to ERF.
