- Electron in solids. The distribution functions. Thermionic emission. High field emission. Secondary emission. Photoemission. Contact potential metal-metal and metal-dielectric. Methods of surface analysis. Electron spectroscopy. Photoelectron spectroscopy. Auger spectroscopy. Low energy electron difraction [LEED]. Appearence potential spectroscopy [APS]. Secondary ion mass spectroscopy [SIMS].
