- Course objectives
- Principal factors underlying differentiation patterns of vegetation on global scale. Vegetation zones and altitudinal belts. Tropical rain forest. Characterization, ecological factors, distribution, species pool, regional differentiation, conservation of the main biomes of the World: Mangroves. Transitions to savannas, gallery forests. Savannas. Semi-deserts and deserts. Evergreen forests of Mediterranean type. Macquis, garigues, tomillares, chaparal. Temperate broad-leaved forests. Boreal coniferous forests, taiga. Tundra.

- 1) Variabilita základních ekologických faktorů na zemském povrchu v závislosti na zeměpisné šířce, rozložení pevnin a oceánů, vzdušných a mořských proudech atd. 2-3)Tropický deštný les. 4-5)Galeriové lesy, přechod k savanám, savany. 6-7)Pouště a polopouště. 8)Formace tvrdolistých neopadavých a opadavých dřevin. 9-10)Stepi, prerie, pampy. 11-12)Listnaté lesy mírného pásma. 13)Jehličnaté lesy vyšších zeměpisných šířek. 14)Tundra .
