Prerequisites
Students are required to have completed all basic chemistry courses (especially of general, physical, inorganic, organic chemistry and biochemistry) in the extent typical for students of chemistry teaching.

Course objectives
The goal of this course is to provide future teachters with some practical orientation in problems concerning the lecture of chemistry on high schools.
Syllabus
  • 1. verbal and nonverbal communication and important habits of lecturers; 2. the choice of suitable learning texts; 3. relations between the curriculum on grammar and high schools; 4.-6. some difficult topics of high school chemistry and the most frequent mistakes of students; 7. interbranchial relations and the necessity of coordination of teaching various topics in relation to the school studium plans; 8. important relations among individual topics taught on high schools; 9. multimedia in the chemistry lessons, possibilities of creation of presentations; 10. chemistry and the Internet; 11. some less accented topics of high school chemistry; 12. Do recent concepts of high school chemistry teaching lead to the development of individual thinking?; 13. project education and the high school; 14. ecology and its relation to the chemistry;
