- 2. Coordination chemistry of lanthanides - Coordination numbers - Geometries
- 3. Thermodynamics and kinetics - Simple coordination compounds - Extension to complex systems
- 4. Supramolecular complexes - Design of self-assemblies - Methods of characterisation - Examples
- 5. Bioanalytical applications I - Paramagnetic probes - MRI imaging
- 6. Bioanalytical applications II - Optical probes - Immunoassays - Optical imaging

- The final exam will be tested by coloquium.
