- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to explain and demonstrate the possibilities, how to utilize computer technology in physics teaching. They will be able to use computer measurement tools, especially school measurement systems. They will be able to solve selected physical problems by means of computer software. Only secondary school knowledge of computer technology is expected.
- Syllabus
- Hardware, von Neumann architecture, computer architecture. Computer bus. Operating system.
- School measurement and experimental systems. Communication interfaces. CENTRONICS, RS-232C interface. Measurement cards, programmable multimeters, power sources etc.
- Borland Delphi, LabView. Programming of measuring instruments in OS Windows.
- Systems of computer algebra in physics teaching, Maple. Modeling and simulation programs in physics and physics teaching.

- Teaching methods
- lecture combined with practical exercise in laboratory
- Assessment methods
- Attendance of 80% and active work during lessons are required to obtain the credit.
