Course objectives
1) Fundamentals and time scales Fundamentals of UV/vis spectroscopy (Jablonski-diagram, types of transitions / 2hv processes, absorption, emission, IC, ISC, timescales of molecular processes) Fundamentals of IR spectroscopy (Information content vibrational spectroscopy) Fundamentals of TR spectroscopy (Laser principle, fs-laser, NLO, pump probe) 2) Advanced methods 2D-IR spectroscopy and VIPER Kerr Shutter CARS and SRS microscopy
