Course objectives
Aim subject is students deepen orientation in contemporary school system Czech republic, in his organization, drive and evalution, as well as in conceptual questions education and upbringing. They should survey about law problems in education (school legislature), know bases school management and processes in It.
Learning outcomes
Students
• explain basic terms in the field of school and school management
• get acquainted with the basic documents of educational policy at the European and Czech level
• gain an overview of the legislation relevant to them and learn to work within their profession
• get to know the management processes of the educational organization/school
• get acquainted with project management processes relevant to educational organizations/schools
• get acquainted with external and internal evaluation documents
• based on the ČŠI assessment, he will create a SWOT analysis for the selected school
• they will be able to discuss a selected current topic of educational policy
Syllabus
  • Education and the school system as an image of the state of society (education as a policy), EU education policy, the most famous European projects focused on education and training. School policy of the Czech Republic. National documents of the educational policy of the Czech Republic. Structure of Czech education and educational system (network of schools and educational facilities: state, non-state and private schools, their specifics). Establishment of schools. School management. Management of the school system: institutions and tools. Financing of education. School marketing. School legislation - basic legal documents. Framework educational program. Evaluation of the work of the school and its educational results. School inspection and supervision. Evaluation tools. Image of the school. Management of work teams and collectives. Management and teaching staff. School and classroom climate. Project management.
