Syllabus
  • Genetic ecotoxicology as a science. Ecotoxicology and genetic toxicology. Genetic toxicology, mutagenesis in organisms and populations. Spontaneous and induced mutations. Gene mutations, chromosomal abberations, aneuploidy and polyploidy. Risk factors identification, models, acute and chronical exposition. Gametic and somatic mutations. DNA repairs, recombinations. In vivo and in vitro assays, procaryotic and eucaryotic organisms. Gametic and somatic assays, metabolic activation, transgenic systems. Choice of laboratory and in situ genotoxicity tests. Batery of tests, predictive value. Molecular analysis of mutations. Monitoring of human population, epidemiological and clinical study. Legislative and recommendations in the Czech Republic and EC.
