  • 1/ Introduction to descriptive mineralogy (crystallochemical classification of minerals, mineralogical nomenclature, mineral, variety, mineral assemblages and paragenesses) 2/ Processes of the origin of minerals: magmatic, pegmatitic, hydrothermal, metamorphic, metasomatic, hypergenic 3/ The native elements: Au, Ag, Cu, Pt, Fe, As, Sb, Bi, diamond, graphite, S, Se 4/ Sulfides: tetrahedral (sphalerite, wurtzite, chalcopyrite, bornite), octahedral (galena, pyrrhotite, niccolite, mixed tetrahedral and octahedral (pentlandite), with unusual coordination (molybdenite, millerite, cinnabar, covellite, chalcocite, argentite), complex sulphides (pyrite, marcasite, arsenopyrite, skutterudite, stibnite, boulangerite, tetraedrite, proustite, pyrargyrite, realgar, orpigment) 5/ The halide minerals: halite, sylvite, carnallite, fluorite, cryolite, atacamite 6/ Oxides and hydroxides: tetrahedral ( the SiO2 minerals, zincite, periclase), oktahedral (hematite, corundum, ilmenite, rutile, anatase, brookite, cassiterite, pyrolusite, columbite, mixed tetrahedral and octahedral (magnetite, spinel, chromite, franklinite, chrysoberyl), cubic (uraninite), with unusual coordination (cuprite).
