Syllabus
  • Chaos/order in nature and contingent human society: interactions and integration from geographical point of view. Lyotard, Foucault, Habermas, Rorty and Peet in geography. Landscape synthesis, environmental interactions, sustainable development. Human agency and structure (Giddens), realist approaches, crisis of representation, instrumental and applied, objectives oriented synthesis - how things should be. Spatial structuration vs.contingency, social studies in geography, economic framework, cultural geography. Regional applications.
