Course objectives
Line and surface integral of the first type. Geometrical and physical characteristics of onedimensional and twodimensional bodies. Vector analysis, scalar and vector fields. Work of a force field along a curve, flux of a force field through a surface, integral and differential form of physical laws. Tensor algebra and analysis. Tensor of inertia, general motion of rigid bodies, elements of theory of elasticity, material relations and symmetry. Probability description of physical systems. Thermal motion. Binomial and Gaussian distribution. Positions of molecules in a gas in external field, Boltzmann distribution. Velocities and energies of molecules, Maxwell distribution. Thermally activated processes.
